As a Junior Software Engineer at John Deere in Indaiatuba/SP, you will be responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of applications using Java and React.js under the guidance of senior mentors. You will actively participate in the implementation of scalable distributed systems and AWS cloud services, contributing to software quality through automated testing and the support of CI/CD pipelines. In this collaborative Agile environment, you will have the opportunity to learn and apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and observability practices using New Relic, while developing your technical skills to drive continuous innovation within our global engineering teams.

Main Responsibilities

Develop and maintain cloud-based applications, with a primary focus on frontend development using React and exposure to backend services built with Java;
Work with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions;
Assist in monitoring and troubleshooting applications using observability tools such as New Relic;
Work with relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases;
Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform.

Skills You Need

Bachelor’s degree (complete) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent fields;
Intermediate English (reads and writes emails independently, participates in calls and meetings);
Hands-on experience using React (components, hooks, state management);
Intermediate knowledge of Java and backend development concepts (REST APIs; basic Spring concepts are a plus);
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions;
Experience with AWS Cloud services (ECS, API Gateway, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.);
Experience with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB);
Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools such as New Relic and Datadog.
