Junior Technical Program Manager

Sigma is seeking a Junior Technical Program Manager to manage operational aspects of the engineering organization, focusing on Infrastructure & Data Services programs. The role requires a technical background, project management skills, and a bias for action to improve execution and deliver products. The TPM will develop roadmaps, manage technical debt, facilitate cross-team communication, and guide high-impact projects within Sigma's SaaS business intelligence and data exploration platform.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop the roadmap and execution for key Product Operations initiatives. Align processes, tools, and best practices for product delivery and launch readiness.
  2. Execute frontend roadmap (performance, scalability, UX focus). Manage technical debt and platform modernization for the frontend team.
  3. Facilitate communication and dependency resolution between frontend, backend, and design teams.
  4. Work on large-scale distributed systems, storage solutions, applications.
  5. Have an operational mindset to identify gaps in processes and shepherd change management/communication across teams to keep everyone aligned.

Skills

Required

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 3+ years of experience as a TPM or Product Manager or Software Engineer
  • Software engineering and/or project planning and execution
  • Software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Modern frontend technologies
  • Public cloud experience
  • Data warehousing platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, etc.)
  • Analyze data and make informed recommendations/decisions
  • 40 hrs a week for 12 weeks
