Structural Design Engineer for KC-135 aircraft sustainment and modification, utilizing CATIA V5 and ENOVIA for design and integration.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform structural design technical lead tasks for Structures Capability Team
  2. Responsible for developing detail and modification design concepts/final design and meeting contractual/productibility requirements for end item deliverables; This includes structural modifications, mechanical components and primary and secondary structural detail/installation design for Development and Production purposes using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools (CATIAv5 and ENOVIA)
  3. Responsible for the integration of detail design of parts/hardware installation and supports planning/manufacturing efforts and associated tools
  4. Analyzes and resolves design problems, able to develop and assist others with resolving design discrepancies and analyze the applicability of new and emerging technologies and advanced techniques
  5. Support internal/external design reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), Preliminary/Critical Design Reviews (PDR/CDR) with US and Foreign Air Force customers

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
  • Model Based Definition (MBD)
  • CATIA V5
  • ENOVIA
  • DELMIA
  • Configuration management tools (CMPro or Teamcenter)
  • Process updates and engineering changes

  • Experience leading a team of engineers with responsibility for the cost, schedule, and technical quality of their output
