Korea Trading Controls Specialist

This role focuses on the interpretation, design, and implementation of pre- and post-trade controls for the Korean market, working with internal teams and external counterparties to ensure compliance and support business development in Asia. Responsibilities include gathering market feedback, building relationships with counterparties, translating rule interpretations into a controls framework, and monitoring trading flows.

What you'd actually do

  1. Gathering continuous feedback from brokers and exchanges on Korea UTP and short sell rules and other trading sensitivities to help advise and guide the business to make informed decisions
  2. Building relationships with onshore counterparties to gather colour on regulatory and market sentiment about the feedback from counterparties
  3. Working closely with our Korea Business Development, Trading, Compliance and Technology teams to translate the rule interpretations into our controls framework
  4. Monitoring and evaluating new flows/increases in trading and their interaction with controls

Skills

Required

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in trading controls design and implementation
  • Knowledgeable and experienced with Korea exchange rules
  • Familiar with electronic trading regulations
  • Fluent in English and Korean
