Apprenticeship opportunity for a current year 1 Mechatronics apprentice to join Caterpillar's Peterborough facility. The role involves rotating through Maintenance, Quality, and Research & Development departments, with a focus on hands-on learning and technical skill development. The program is a 4-year advanced apprenticeship leading to nationally recognized qualifications and potential EngTech professional registration.

What you'd actually do

  1. use computerised systems to aid the completion of routine maintenance, diagnose equipment faults and carry out repairs in a timely manner.
  2. completes customer engine return investigation; we also support validation work for New Product Introduction (NPI) as well as cover any rejects from the assembly test and finish facility.
  3. build, rig, and test new technologies that have yet to be mass-produced.

Skills

Required

  • Five GCSEs at Grade 4 (C) or above
