Lab Engineer

Lab Engineer responsible for managing, maintaining, assembling, and supporting a large volume of compute systems for platform bring-up, validation, and firmware development. This includes system assembly, firmware flashing, remote access enablement, boot failure triage, and thermal management for approximately 300 lab systems. The role also involves maintaining hardware inventory and documentation.

What you'd actually do

  1. Assemble workstation systems and perform initial bring‑up and power‑on validation.
  2. Flash and maintain BIOS/UEFI, BMC, CPLD, uCode, and platform firmware.
  3. Install, image, and re‑image operating systems as required.
  4. Enable and validate remote access (BMC, serial console, KVM, SSH, remote power).
  5. Diagnose and triage boot failures (no‑POST, BIOS hang, OS boot issues).
