Lab Specialist Quality Control

This role is for a Lab Specialist in Quality Control at Merck's Animal Health division. The primary focus is on ensuring accurate test transfers, improving processes, and maintaining compliance with GMP and safety guidelines. The role involves acting as a Quality Control lead for transfer projects and participating in R&D test development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Ensure transfer timelines are met, including escalation when needed.
  2. Guarantee compliant transfer to the QC lab responsible for commercial batch release testing.
  3. Act as Quality Control lead for transfer projects.
  4. Participate in R&D test development projects on behalf of Quality Control.
  5. Serve as point of contact for the QCO department regarding deviations, changes, audits, training, and documentation in line with GMP procedures.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in laboratory (micro)biology or analytical chemistry.
  • Experience working in a GMP environment, preferably in a QC lab and/or pharmaceutical production setting.
  • Familiarity with change management and/or project management.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Dutch.
