Box is seeking an experienced Large Enterprise Account Executive for their State and Local Government Sales team in Texas. The role involves sourcing and closing new business, building territory strategies, leading platform sales, and developing executive relationships. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of sales experience, specifically selling to Texas state government accounts, and a proven ability to sell complex enterprise solutions. While Box is an AI-first company, this role is focused on sales and does not involve building AI models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Source and close net new logos within a given territory in the Texas State Government segment
  2. Build and execute territory and account strategies across Texas state agencies, constitutional offices, and strategic statewide initiatives
  3. Lead strategic platform sales motions that include direct, partner-led, and co-sell engagement models
  4. Develop and manage executive relationships with department leaders, procurement stakeholders, and line of business owners
  5. Exercise judgment in selecting methodologies, techniques and evaluation criteria throughout the sales process

Skills

Required

  • 8+ years of work experience in Sales with a track record of success
  • Direct experience selling to State Government accounts in Texas and navigating public sector procurement processes
  • Proven ability to learn new technology solutions and products
  • Demonstrated ability to uncover, develop, and close complex multi-stakeholder enterprise opportunities
  • Proven success building and managing partner-driven sales motions with Systems Integrators, resellers, and strategic technology partners
  • Strong executive presence with experience selling to CIOs, CISOs, ENT architects, and department leadership
  • Prior success in ECM, Cloud, SaaS, AI, or enterprise platform sales
