Launch Manager (1-year Fixed-term Contract)

Netflix Netflix · Big Tech · Seoul, South Korea +1 · Program Management

Netflix is seeking a Launch Manager for a 1-year fixed-term contract in Seoul. This role acts as the strategic center for title launches, owning end-to-end accountability for platform launches, translating business objectives into product merchandising decisions, and driving cross-functional partnerships. The manager will oversee merchandising behaviors and promotional strategy, manage the launch strategy for the local slate, align cross-functional partners, mitigate risks, and drive member value. Key responsibilities include serving as the connective tissue for title and campaign launches, owning launch quality, troubleshooting bottlenecks, acting as the on-the-ground product and merchandising expert for Korea, partnering with Content and Marketing teams on discovery strategies, evaluating complex asks, and surfacing root causes. The role requires strong project management, strategic thinking, communication skills in Korean and English, and relationship management.

What you'd actually do

  1. Serve as the connective tissue for End-to-end title and merchandising campaign launch — proactively gathering, centralizing, and disseminating the right context to keep all cross-functional partners aligned on priorities, dependencies, and decisions
  2. Own the quality and accountability for bringing all content to life on our platform. This involves positioning, presenting and packaging the intricate web of creative assets and aligning timelines across multiple cross-functional teams.
  3. Be the control tower troubleshooting high-stakes bottlenecks, and identifying risk patterns across the slate — not just single titles — to surface systemic issues before they escalate.
  4. Be the on-the-ground product and merchandising expert for Korea translating business, consumer, and local market objectives into clear product merchandising decisions — including knowing what not to do on platform and why.
  5. Partner deeply with local Content and Marketing teams to architect data-driven strategies for content discovery that is optimized for member experience
