The Launch Manager acts as the strategic center of every title’s journey to the members —serving as the conductor of launch excellence, a trusted expert on launch strategy, and an architect of cross-functional interactions. You own end-to-end accountability for platform launches, translating business objectives into product merchandising decisions and driving the partnerships necessary for seamless execution.
As the Launch Manager, you are the on-the-ground product expert, overseeing the lifecycle of merchandising behaviors and promotional strategy to ensure high-quality launches. You will manage the launch strategy for your local slate, serving as the connective tissue that aligns cross-functional partners, mitigates risks, and drives member value.
Across each of these dimensions, you will bring proactive judgment, clear communication of tradeoffs, and a relentless drive to surface the right solution at the right time.
In this role you will:
As the Conductor of Launch Excellence
- Serve as the connective tissue for End-to-end title and merchandising campaign launch — proactively gathering, centralizing, and disseminating the right context to keep all cross-functional partners aligned on priorities, dependencies, and decisions
- Own the quality and accountability for bringing all content to life on our platform. This involves positioning, presenting and packaging the intricate web of creative assets and aligning timelines across multiple cross-functional teams.
- Be the control tower troubleshooting high-stakes bottlenecks, and identifying risk patterns across the slate — not just single titles — to surface systemic issues before they escalate.
As a Trusted Expert on Merchandising Strategy
- Be the on-the-ground product and merchandising expert for Korea translating business, consumer, and local market objectives into clear product merchandising decisions — including knowing what not to do on platform and why.
- Partner deeply with local Content and Marketing teams to architect data-driven strategies for content discovery that is optimized for member experience
- Evaluate novel and complex asks — weighing impact, risk, dependencies, and opportunity cost — and apply sound judgment on when to proceed, push back, or escalate.
- Proactively surface the real issue beneath the ask — diagnosing root causes and bringing forward solutions, not just flagging problems.
As an Architect of cross-functional Interactions
- Build strong bridges and tight partnerships with cross-functional partner teams
- Effectively communicate context, priorities, and trade-offs to our partner teams with regards to established title merchandising levers and launch strategies
- Support and influence new strategies and workflows to increase impact and launch excellence.
- Encourage and model risk-taking, data-informed decision-making, and constant innovation.
- Serve as the primary point of escalation for title-level merchandise and launch issues or failures.
Role Requirements:
- Minimum 5-7 years of project management experience in a fast-paced and agile environment.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business and consumer objectives into product strategy, with strong intuition for what 'good' looks like in a launch context.
- Systems thinker who can identify patterns across a portfolio, evaluate tradeoffs rigorously, and communicate risks and recommendations persuasively to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Korean and English
- Strong relationship management and expectation-setting skills.
- Track record of modeling accountability and ability to collaborate, influence, and partner effectively with internal stakeholders.
- An earnest and inclusive team player who will be a great steward of the Netflix culture
