Lead Account Executive - Network Operations—certifications Capabilities & Service Quality

This role is for a Lead Account Executive focused on Network Operations, specifically within Capital One's Payments Operations division. The primary responsibilities involve managing the boarding and ongoing system testing of participants on the Discover and Diners Club International (DCI) networks. This includes defining system testing requirements, designing and validating test scripts (including test automation), creating associate certification documents, training staff, and troubleshooting issues. The role also involves leading release projects, collaborating with various stakeholders, and supporting compliance monitoring and audit preparation. While the role involves testing and automation design, it is not directly related to AI/ML model development or deployment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage certification test design projects across all interfaces, including direct interaction and coordination of efforts with product owners, system engineers, and information technology (IT) subject matter experts (SMEs), third-party vendors and other stakeholders
  2. Define certification requirements in client-facing technical specifications
  3. Design and validate test scripts in applications that automate test operations for network participants
  4. Maintain certification test scripts and associated documents, training and communications
  5. Work with client and SMEs to identify and resolve test defects, system failures, and configuration issues

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
  • 4 years of software development or software testing experience

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology
  • Payments industry experience
  • Project Management certification (PMP)
