Lead Architect

Salesforce Salesforce · Enterprise · Mumbai, India, India

Salesforce is seeking a Lead Architect for their Strategic Excellence team. This role involves advising customers on enterprise solutions across MuleSoft, Salesforce, and other platforms, focusing on integration, platform modernization, and application connectivity. The architect will bridge business goals and technical execution, define target-state architectures, guide integration and platform strategy, and influence technology decisions. Responsibilities include leading discovery sessions, shaping opportunities, defining architectures using API-led and event-driven patterns, ensuring solution quality, and mentoring teams. The role requires deep expertise in enterprise integration, API-led connectivity, and Salesforce architecture.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead technical discovery sessions, architecture workshops, design reviews, and customer strategy discussions. Translate business transformation priorities into robust solution architectures spanning integration, platform modernization, and enterprise application connectivity.
  2. Partner with sales, account, and delivery teams to shape complex opportunities, respond to RFPs and RFIs, support effort estimation and feasibility analysis, and define differentiated technical strategies for high-value engagements. Present solution direction with credibility to both executive and technical audiences.
  3. Define high-level and detailed architectures using API-led connectivity, event-driven and service-based integration patterns, data movement strategies, and interoperability models. Apply Salesforce architecture knowledge across platform capabilities, integration approaches, security and sharing considerations, data model alignment, environment strategy, and enterprise architecture best practices, with MuleSoft as the primary integration platform and Informatica where relevant for ETL, data integration, or migration use cases.
  4. Create compelling solution narratives, reference architectures, architecture decision points, and proof-of-concept approaches that clearly connect business outcomes to technology design. Build proposals and architecture recommendations that resonate with C-suite stakeholders as well as engineering and delivery teams.
  5. Review and validate architectures for scalability, resilience, security, performance, maintainability, supportability, and operational fit. Identify design risks early, define governance approaches, and help teams apply standards that improve long-term platform health and implementation success.
