What you’ll do
The Security Systems IV&V (Independent Verification & Validation) Engineer leads and executes IV&V efforts for our network systems infrastructure projects. This critical role ensures that all network and security systems meet rigorous operational, compliance, and performance standards. The Security Systems IV&V Engineer collaborates with engineering, operations, and project management teams to verify deliverables align with federal, DoD, and industry best practices, driving mission success and ongoing system integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Lead IV&V Initiatives: Plan, coordinate, and execute comprehensive IV&V activities for network and security infrastructure projects. Process Development: Develop and maintain IV&V methodologies, checklists, and documentation to ensure detailed coverage and traceability. System Review: Evaluate system architectures, configurations, and deployments for compliance with requirements and standards. Assessment & Testing: Conduct thorough assessments, audits, and testing of network components (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.) to validate security, functionality, and performance. Risk Identification: Identify gaps, risks, and non-conformities, providing actionable recommendations for remediation and risk reduction. Reporting: Prepare and deliver clear, comprehensive IV&V reports for stakeholders, highlighting findings, risks, and suggested improvements. Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (including engineering, operations, and project management) to ensure timely resolution of identified issues. Continuous Monitoring: Lead or support continuous monitoring activities, integrating vulnerability assessment findings into risk analyses and corrective action plans. Compliance & Security: Apply and validate NIST SP 800-53 controls, manage the full RMF lifecycle (NIST SP 800-37), and support FedRAMP and FISMA compliance. Stakeholder Engagement: Translate complex technical vulnerabilities and risk data into actionable, mission-focused insights for executive stakeholders. Mentorship: Mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Professional Development: Stay current with emerging technologies, standards, and best practices in security, compliance, and IV&V.
What you’ll need
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired.
- 8+ years of related sales experience.

Our Lead Consultant Prof Services ATC, earns between $134,600 - $201,800 + commissions with a total target compensation of $164,600 - $231,800.
