What you'd actually do

  1. Provide employment law advice on all aspects of the employee life cycle to the People team, including human resources, recruiting, payroll, people operations, compensation and benefits, immigration, and employee relations teams
  2. Partner with internal teams to build processes and playbooks for recurring employee-related matters.
  3. Work on other region-wide projects and initiatives
  4. Draft and revise employment related agreements and policies, including offer letters, severance agreements, confidentiality agreements, employee handbooks, and other employment related documents, applicable to Meta’s various global employees
  5. Support employment litigation as necessary

Skills

Required

  • Law degree or equivalent
  • Appropriately licensed and authorized to practice law
  • Practicing certificate or local law equivalent bar registration/license
  • Experience with labor and employment law in LATAM
  • 3+ years of relevant post-qualification experience in labor and employment counseling
  • Qualified lawyer in Brazil, Argentina, or Mexico
  • Fluent in English
  • Portuguese and/or Spanish

  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration)
  • Experience supporting employment matters in an in-house legal environment at a technology company or large employer
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience partnering effectively with cross-functional teams to provide practical advice and scalable solutions

What the JD emphasized
