This position sits within Caterpillar China’s Electrification and Energy Solutions (E+ES) team and is based in Qingzhou/Qingdao. You will lead a local engineering team responsible for rapid development, prototype build, machine integration, and validation of electrification solutions. 该岗位隶属于卡特彼勒中国电气化与能源解决方案（E+ES）团队，工作地点位于青州/青岛。您将带领本地工程团队，负责电气化解决方案的快速开发、样机搭建、整机集成与验证。 This role combines technical leadership, people leadership, and hands-on execution to drive delivery across multi-site engineering activities. You will work closely with design, manufacturing, testing, and supplier teams to align priorities, remove execution barriers, and ensure delivery readiness. The role requires strong engineering judgment, team coordination capability, and the ability to manage complex technical priorities. Key Responsibilities｜主要职责 • Lead and develop the Qingzhou-based RED engineering team through work planning, resource coordination, capability building, and daily technical guidance. 通过工作规划、资源协调、能力建设及日常技术指导，带领并发展驻青州RED工程团队。 • Own team execution for prototype build, test bench development, component fit-up, machine integration, and validation activities. 负责团队在样机搭建、试验台架开发、部件装配、整机集成及验证活动中的执行交付。 • Drive fast engineering turnaround by ensuring timely decision-making, issue closure, and implementation follow-through. 通过及时决策、问题闭环和实施跟进，推动工程方案快速响应与落地。 • Coordinate with Qingdao/Wuxi design teams, QPG testing teams, manufacturing, and suppliers to align priorities and remove execution barriers. 与青岛/无锡设计团队、QPG测试团队、制造及供应商协同，统一优先级并清除执行障碍。 • Establish and continuously improve RED operating processes, including safety discipline, build/test documentation, and issue tracking. 建立并持续优化RED运行流程，包括安全规范、搭建/测试文档及问题追踪机制。 • Build a disciplined engineering culture focused on issue management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement. 打造以问题管理、根因分析和持续改进为核心的规范化工程文化。 • Provide leadership with regular project updates, technical risk assessments, and escalation support. 定期向管理层提供项目进展、技术风险评估及升级支持。 • Ensure readiness for critical RED milestones, machine tests, and implementation phases. 确保关键RED里程碑、整机测试及实施阶段具备交付准备。
Required Skills｜任职要求 • Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. 本科及以上学历，电气工程、机械工程、机电一体化、车辆工程或相关工程专业。 • Proven engineering experience in team leadership, prototype build, machine integration, or validation execution. 具备成熟工程经验，并在团队带领、样机搭建、整机集成或验证执行方面有成功实践。 • Experience leading work in rapid product development or fast-paced engineering execution environments. 具备在快速产品开发或快节奏工程执行环境中推动工作的经验。 • Strong communication, stakeholder coordination, and structured problem-solving skills. 具备优秀的沟通能力、利益相关方协调能力和结构化问题解决能力。 • Ability to manage priorities across multiple engineering interfaces, including Qingdao, Wuxi, Qingzhou, QPG, and the NPI workshop. 能够统筹青岛、无锡、青州、QPG及NPI试制车间等多方工程接口下的优先任务。 • Familiarity with prototype build, test bench development, machine testing, and engineering issue management processes. 熟悉样机搭建、试验台架开发、整机测试及工程问题管理流程。 • Strong ownership, execution discipline, and ability to drive results through others. 具备较强责任心、执行纪律，并能够通过团队推动结果达成。
Preferred Skills｜优先条件 • Experience with electrification, e-powertrain, or energy solution systems. 具备电气化、电驱系统或能源解决方案相关经验。 • Experience in off-highway equipment, construction machinery, or similar heavy equipment industries. 具备非道路设备、工程机械或类似重型装备行业经验。 • Familiarity with system engineering processes, validation methodologies, and issue tracking practices. 熟悉系统工程流程、验证方法论及问题追踪机制。 • Experience leading engineering teams, technical workstreams, or complex execution projects. 具备工程团队、技术工作流或复杂执行项目的带领经验。 • Experience working effectively across cross-site or global engineering environments. 具备在跨区域或全球工程环境中高效协作的经验。
This position requires working onsite five days a week.
