Lead Engineer for Caterpillar's Electrification and Energy Solutions team in China, responsible for rapid development, prototype build, machine integration, and validation of electrification solutions. This role involves technical and people leadership, coordinating with multi-site teams, and driving engineering processes.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead and develop the Qingzhou-based RED engineering team through work planning, resource coordination, capability building, and daily technical guidance.
  2. Own team execution for prototype build, test bench development, component fit-up, machine integration, and validation activities.
  3. Drive fast engineering turnaround by ensuring timely decision-making, issue closure, and implementation follow-through.
  4. Coordinate with Qingdao/Wuxi design teams, QPG testing teams, manufacturing, and suppliers to align priorities and remove execution barriers.
  5. Establish and continuously improve RED operating processes, including safety discipline, build/test documentation, and issue tracking.
