Lead Flight Test Engineer for Air Dominance flight test programs, coordinating work statements, planning, execution, and data evaluation with internal and external customers.

What you'd actually do

  1. Plan and coordinate flight test mission requirements with responsible engineers from internal and external customers
  2. Develop flight test and mission profiles, develop and publish test plans, create flight test cards, and manage test schedules
  3. Identify and coordinate the availability of test ranges and facilities with company and government agencies
  4. Establish test planning working groups, plan and conduct flight test readiness reviews, and conduct pre and posttest briefings
  5. Conduct ground and flight tests in accordance with established test plans and procedures

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 7+ years of experience working on flight test program, preferably as a flight test engineer
  • 7+ years of experience with the principles of flight test OR experience directly supporting flight test operations
  • Experience supporting a military flight test program
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time both domestically and internationally

Nice to have

  • An active U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
  • Experience leading flight test execution in a control room environment as a test conductor and/or test director
  • Experience authoring test plans and test cards in support of a military flight test program
  • Experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM)
