This role is for a Lead Inside Sales representative at Verizon, focusing on developing a pipeline of SMB clients, introducing upsell products, conducting demonstrations, and closing business to secure incremental revenue. The role also involves retaining and renewing the customer base, managing email campaigns, and partnering with other departments. The primary focus is on driving revenue through closing orders for solutions and services within Verizon Connect.

What you'd actually do

  1. The Strategic Account Manager’s goal is to develop a pipeline of SMB clients that have opportunities for future growth, introducing new upsell products and features, product demonstration and ultimately closing the business to secure incremental revenue.
  2. The Lead Inside Sales representative will also have direct influence in retaining and renewing our customer base.
  3. Make outbound phone contacts, conduct web demonstrations, present/negotiate pricing, partner with Finance to present business cases for contract re-writes and pricing negotiations, execute contracts via DocuSign, manage email campaigns developed in partnership with Marketing, and leverage other digital and inside sales tools across multiple platforms.
  4. Drive revenue through closing orders for additional vehicles and/or asset tracking solutions, and through closing orders for emerging software solutions and services as part of the growing portfolio within Verizon Connect.
  5. Drive peer activity and communicate several times daily with the team on sales activity metrics and performance.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience in a SaaS environment or B2B sales

Nice to have

  • Previous experience selling into SMB Accounts
  • Consultative Selling experience
  • 3+ years of B2B inside sales experience
  • 1+ years of product sales account management experience a plus
  • Account Management experience
