Salesforce is seeking a Lead Member of Technical Staff (LMTS) for their Workday Finance team. This role involves technical leadership for architecture, design, and delivery of scalable solutions for Workday Financials, Accounting Center, and integrations. The candidate will mentor engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive the adoption of emerging technologies like AI/ML and automation. Requires 10+ years of enterprise software engineering experience, with 7+ in Workday Financials/Accounting Center and integrations, strong technical leadership, and expertise in Workday technical frameworks and integration patterns.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of scalable, high-performing solutions across Workday Financials, Accounting Center, and related enterprise platforms.
  2. Design, develop, and govern Workday Financial solution including integrations with external systems (Salesforce, RevRec, Vertex, MuleSoft, banking platforms, etc.) ensuring best practices, scalability, and maintainability.
  3. Translate complex business and finance requirements into robust technical designs, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles and industry best practices.
  4. Mentor and guide engineers through architecture reviews, technical decision-making, and code reviews, fostering strong technical craftsmanship.
  5. Drive innovation and adoption of emerging technologies, including AI/ML, automation, and integration tools.

Skills

Required

  • 10+ years of enterprise software engineering experience
  • 7+ years in Workday Financials/Accounting Center and integration-heavy environments
  • Technical leadership in architecture and solution design for large-scale enterprise systems
  • Deep expertise in Workday technical frameworks: Business Processes, Security, Accounting Center, Prism Analytics, Core Connectors, EIB, Studio, Workday Extend, Orchestrate, BIRT, and Document Transformation
  • Hands-on experience in Workday integrations with external platforms (Salesforce, RevPro, Vertex, banking systems) using APIs, Connectors, and automation frameworks
  • Strong understanding of integration frameworks, API design, SOA patterns, and web services (REST, SOAP)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including log analysis and troubleshooting (Splunk or similar)
  • Ability to influence and guide senior stakeholders through architecture discussions and technical strategy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Workday Extend , Orchestrate and building custom applications
  • CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices
  • AI/ML and automation tools (Kainos, Selenium, Mulesoft RPA, or similar)
  • AI developer productivity tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and CodeWhisperer
  • Knowledge of SOX, enterprise security, and compliance in finance/ERP domains
