Lead Model-Based Systems Engineer for a proprietary defense program focused on air dominance fixed-wing platforms. The role involves developing, analyzing, integrating, and testing cloud-based systems for mission planning, debrief, and command & control. Responsibilities include defining system requirements, translating them into designs, utilizing MBSE tools, and ensuring system validation throughout the product lifecycle. Requires a Secret Security Clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements for Ground Systems
  2. Analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications
  3. Utilize Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools to document designs and provide traceability to project requirements
  4. Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
  5. Solve problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 7+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as CAMEO or similar Systems Modeling Language (SysML)-compatible tool for systems architecture and model development
  • 3+ years of experience/domain knowledge of system architecture, requirements, interface definition, verification, and validation

Nice to have

  • Breadth of experience across technical domains and life cycle phases
  • Experience working on proprietary programs
  • Experience with Mission Systems architectures and Open Missions Systems (OMS) and/or Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI)
  • Experience with military aircraft
  • Experience with Ground Systems or Training Systems for military platforms
  • Experience in developing Digital Engineering Environments
