Lead Principal Platform Software Engineer for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Robotics Cloud team. The role focuses on building a secure, scalable, cloud-native robotics platform for onboarding, managing, and operating robot fleets. A key initiative is an AI-driven, spec-based robot onboarding platform that uses AI to generate service contracts, specifications, and guidance, transforming robot integration into an AI-assisted software engineering workflow. The goal is to make robot onboarding as simple as cloud onboarding.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design, develop, and operate cloud-native services for robot registration, identity management, mission orchestration, fleet management, telemetry, digital twins, and software lifecycle management.
  2. Build scalable backend services using modern distributed systems and microservice architectures.
  3. Design secure APIs, service contracts, SDKs, and edge interfaces that enable seamless integration with robots from multiple vendors.
  4. Develop AI-assisted, spec-driven robot onboarding capabilities, using AI to generate and evolve service contracts, integration specifications, adapter implementations, and developer guidance.
  5. Build reusable edge service frameworks that simplify robot integration while maintaining consistent cloud interfaces.
