What you'd actually do

  1. Understand, monitor and improve manufacturing process capabilities
  2. Leverage data acquisition, management and processing systems to focus improvement efforts to improve efficiency and reduce cost
  3. Help to advance companies effort to incorporate contemporary manufacturing technologies
  4. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through the use of automation where appropriate
  5. Formally document new part designs, fixture designs and manufacturing procedures according to internal and external requirements

Skills

Required

  • Bachelors Degree in an Engineering or related discipline
  • 3+ years practical experience in a manufacturing environment
  • competent using Solidworks or equivalent design software
  • Statistically sound data analysis abilities
  • Demonatable success developing task specific applications including the ability to document user level instruction and train operators to achieve proficiency
  • Demonstrable use of a structured approach when analyzing and evaluating alternatives to manufacturing issues

Nice to have

  • Mechanical Engineering Preferred
  • ideally 5 years’ practical experience
  • Must be able to communicate and interact successfully with all levels of the organization.
  • Must have the ability to generate written communication that is clear and concise, to lead a discussion among colleagues as well as provide formal presentations to management.
  • Must be able to work independently/self-motivated.
  • Experience with and knowledge of process automation including robotics and coordinate systems
  • A proven track record working with cross-functional development teams.
