Lead Product Designer for Rivian's web presence, focusing on customer-facing experiences, product storytelling, and e-commerce flows. The role involves designing the end-to-end user journey from brand discovery to purchase, working across narrative and transactional aspects of the website.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work closely with our partners to define the user problems and opportunities for improving the experience and performance of our website
  2. Contribute to feature roadmaps and planning in collaboration with our cross-functional teams to define our focus in the quarters ahead.
  3. Collaborate with design teams across Rivian including commercial, design, service, and enterprise
  4. Manage the design of individual projects and workstreams from initiation through release.
  5. Create strategic design briefs to set the framing and scope of each project.

Skills

Required

  • 5-7+ years working in product design with expertise in product design including web platforms
  • Expertise with Figma features like prototyping, autolayout and component build and refinement for efficiency within design and engineering
  • Thorough understanding of web UX principles
  • Ability to pick things up quickly, manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting timelines and priorities.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A compelling visual portfolio of work to demonstrate design experience

Nice to have

  • 2+ (Preferred) years working on e-commerce with expertise across both visual design and experience design
  • Experience localizing direct to consumer purchase experiences across domestic and global geographies
  • Comfort with presenting your work, explaining your thinking and working with others to bring your vision to life
  • Familiarity with user research methodologies, A/B Testing, and usability best practices
  • Deep knowledge of commerce and check-out flows
  • Domain experience in digital commerce
  • Experience working closely with cross functional teams in an agile fashion
