Lead Product Manager for PayPal's compliance product roadmap for markets outside the US. This role involves working with Business Units for international expansion, classifying and scoping compliance work, and partnering with architecture and engineering teams to ensure PayPal's international compliance posture keeps pace with regulatory change and business growth. The role requires experience in fintech, payments, or regulated financial services, and the ability to translate complex legal or regulatory requirements into buildable product and engineering specifications.

What you'd actually do

  1. Inputs to product strategy with cross-functional stakeholders consistent with the shared vision for the product or enabling platform.
  2. Implements the architectural roadmap that balances innovative design and technical implementation, while balancing regulatory requirements, time-to-market, meeting customer needs and product profitability.
  3. Controls for the customer experience and customer needs in product requirements and as an input to decision making.
  4. Monitors metrics that inform the success of products including usability studies, research and market analysis.
  5. Manages one or more workstreams to include analytics, customer discovery, market research and competitive analysis to drive data-driven decision-making.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of product management experience
  • meaningful time in fintech, payments, or regulated financial services
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • ability to write PRDs and executive briefs
  • Demonstrable experience working with international regulatory frameworks (EU, UK, AU, or APAC markets)
  • Strong track record translating complex legal or regulatory requirements into buildable product and engineering specifications
  • Ability to reason about platform architecture and system interdependencies — not just features
  • Experience working closely with compliance, legal, and risk stakeholders
