Lead Relationship Management (remote-eligible)

This role focuses on building and maintaining relationships with external and internal stakeholders in the financial services industry to drive business growth, identify new opportunities, and manage risks. It involves cross-functional collaboration, contract negotiation, and advising on operational initiatives and market trends.

What you'd actually do

  1. Strategically partner internally and externally to identify new or additional business opportunities within existing high value accounts; maintain and grow relationships to attain new business opportunities and improve client experience.
  2. Ensure that risk is being mitigated as needed throughout the portfolio.
  3. Proactively address client inquiries and problem solve to resolve opportunities or issues. Negotiate contracts agreements while ensuring compliance with new processes and business practices.
  4. Serve as trusted advisor between Discover and their portfolio of accounts by maintaining relationships with key decision-makers across all divisions of the assigned partner.
  5. Advise network participants of operational initiatives, new products/services/pricing or marketing program opportunities to ensure adoption.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • 6 years of payments industry experience within financial services

Nice to have

  • 8+ years of payments industry experience within financial services
  • Experience influencing key stakeholders, executive level clients or internal business partners
  • Ability to maintain high productivity levels while navigating shifting priorities
