What you'd actually do

  1. Identifying and engaging contacts, developing proposals and negotiating agreements to maximize network growth
  2. Creating business cases for new development activities with internal and external partners
  3. Serving as the liaison between external accounts, maintaining relationships with decision-makers, and advising clients on acceptance and operational efficiencies
  4. Exploring new partnership opportunities and managing a portfolio of clients to retain, grow, and drive existing and new business by increasing acceptance and volume
  5. Actively managing and evaluating risk and customer-impacting issues, and ensuring compliance with new processes during contract and pricing negotiations

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
  • 4 years of business development, sales, strategy or relationship management experience within the financial services or payments industry
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills at the C-Suite level
  • Deep knowledge of the payments industry, particularly debit and credit pricing
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial drive, proactive approach, and ability to anticipate market trends within the vertical
  • Resiliency to navigate adversity in a fast paced environment

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Marketing
  • 5+ years of business development, sales, strategy or relationship management experience within the financial services or payments industry
