Lead Full Stack Software Engineer in Cybersecurity and Technology Controls, responsible for designing and implementing scalable front-end solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring junior developers, and driving technical decisions. The role involves leveraging AI-powered coding assistants to enhance development processes.

What you'd actually do

  1. Serve as a seasoned member of an engineering team that works to lead the delivery of software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior.
  2. Lead the design and implementation of scalable and maintainable front-end solutions.
  3. Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality user experiences.
  4. Mentor junior developers and promote best practices in coding and testing.
  5. Help drive technical decisions and ensure the feasibility of UI/UX designs.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and/or proven work experience as a Software Engineer
  • 5+ years of work-related experience in a professional software engineering role and leading a team/s
  • Experience with front-end technologies, such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
  • Hands-on experience with React.js and its core principles
  • Strong understanding of API protocols and asynchronous request handling, including REST and GraphQL
  • Experience with relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases, including data modelling and optimization
  • Experience in Java and Spring Boot for backend development and system architecture
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies and DevOps best practices, such as CI/CD, application resiliency, security, Git/GitHub, and Test Driven Development
  • Strong proficiency in Python, with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, with experience of building data pipelines, data models, and data transformation within data warehouses
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI-powered coding assistants to accelerate development, improve code quality, and integrate best practices across the software lifecycle, while exercising sound judgment on when to rely on automation versus writing code by hand.
