Lead Software Engineer - AI/ML at Boeing India, focusing on developing and implementing next-generation AI/ML and data analytics for aerospace applications. What you'd actually do

  1. Development of innovative, machine learning / deep learning models and analysis to provide actionable information that improves aircraft and fleet efficiency and performance and helps increase productivity of Boeing engineers.
  2. Applying approaches such as novel statistical and probabilistic methods, machine learning multivariate analysis, predictive analytics and deep learning techniques to diverse areas such as airplane health management, manufacturing, automation, supply chain and more in order to add value to Boeing products.
  3. Help in the adoption of new tools and technology, perform Proof-of-concepts and help engagements implement & take it over.
  4. Mentor & guide junior data scientists on their technical work and growth aspirations.
  5. Working closely & collaboratively with an international team comprising software development and research engineers. Develop and maintaining relationships / partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners to develop collaborative plans and execute on projects.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology ( Including Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Information Technology ), or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Experience with generative AI, large language models (LLMs), retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), LoRA/parameter‑efficient fine‑tuning, and core machine‑learning techniques
  • Hands-on experience with end-to-end ML lifecycle: data pipelines, training, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
  • Excellent presentation & communication skills: Demonstrate strong written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong research background in innovating & developing technologies & solutions thru data science & analytics.
  • Python / R studio

Nice to have

  • Master's OR higher education qualification in Engineering streams
  • Familiarity with agentic systems, AI product development, and multimodal model workflows (e.g., text+image or audio) is also valuable.
  • Track record in performing and leading research & development of highly innovative AI-driven solutions for difficult problems.
  • Expertise in building and productizing Machine Learning/Deep Learning models.
  • Drive the MLOps lifecycle by establishing and maintaining robust pipelines.
  • Experience with containerization
