What you'd actually do

  1. Manage and develop a software engineering team to deliver projects on time and within budget through coaching and performance management
  2. Drive improvements in development practices, including team structure, processes, tooling, security, and compliance to enhance efficiency
  3. Oversee technical vendor relationships to influence product features and ensure alignment with technical requirements
  4. Recruit and onboard qualified team members to strengthen team capabilities and support project demands
  5. Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 3 years of related experience
  • Computer Science or in a computer programming related field
  • 4-7 years' Experience in an Analytics and Business Intelligence development environment.
  • Less than 2 years' Experience in managing or supervising a team of 15 developers or more.
  • Experience leading software engineering teams and a passion for mentorship.
  • Expert knowledge of PHP, Javascript, and multiple Javascript frameworks.
  • Expert knowledge of multiple analytics platforms.
  • Knowledge about supporting the LAMP stack on AWS (caching, databases, platforms, pipelines, etc.).
