Lead Software Engineer, Employee Success & Finance Platform

Salesforce Salesforce · Enterprise · Indianapolis, IN +4

Lead Software Engineer for Salesforce's Employee Success & Finance Platform, focusing on integration architecture, data integrity, observability, and building systems for agentic AI to safely navigate sensitive HR and Finance data. Requires strong platform engineering skills, experience with high-stakes data, and knowledge of compliance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define the integration architecture for complex, high-stakes data flows between HR, ERP, and third-party SaaS providers — designing for reliability, auditability, and scale.
  2. Build and maintain validation frameworks that ensure "source of truth" data stays consistent as it moves across enterprise systems, with automated reconciliation to catch failures before the business does.
  3. Drive observability across the platform by implementing comprehensive telemetry (logs, metrics, traces) so the team has full visibility into system health at all times.
  4. Lead and mentor a platform engineering team, setting standards for code quality, design patterns, and technical documentation — and fostering a culture of Engineering Excellence.
  5. Own the DevOps and testing strategy, including CI/CD pipelines, unit/integration/E2E test coverage, and a proactive approach to technical debt.
