What you'd actually do

  1. Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
  2. Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  3. Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  4. Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
  5. Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture

Skills

Required

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Advanced knowledge of Java 21 i.e. Garbage collection, Reactive programming, Streaming
  • Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning etc.)
  • Hands on experience in Spring Boot, Terraform, No SQL & distributed databases like Cassandra and Cockroach
  • Hands on practical experience in messaging systems like Kafka
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
  • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Practical cloud native experience in Spring Boot and Spring WebFlux

  • Knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Knowledge of RDBMS and ORM's like Hibernate, Mybatis
