Lead Solutions Architect for Databricks' Digital Natives Business in London, UK. This role focuses on executive evangelism, thought leadership, and driving new logo acquisition by building relationships with technical founders and CTOs at high-growth startups. The architect will articulate a vision for Data + AI, bridge business requirements with technical solutions, and mentor other Solutions Architects. Requires strong technical depth in data engineering or AI, coupled with a primary skillset in technical evangelism and high-level architectural vision.

What you'd actually do

  1. Act as a Technical Advisor, building peer-to-peer relationships with CTOs, VPs of Engineering, and technical founders at high-growth DNBs.
  2. Execute the high-velocity "Hunter DNA"—obsessing over Time to Value, qualifying out ruthlessly when necessary, and focusing energy on hard-to-win, prestigious accounts that establish Databricks as the standard for the UK startup ecosystem.
  3. Drive awareness within the UK startup and VC ecosystem.
  4. Move beyond traditional "hands-on" SA work to focus on high-level architecture and strategic road-mapping.
  5. Be a role model and mentor for the wider Field Engineering team, specifically coaching Solutions Architects on how to engage effectively with CxOs and navigate the unique demands of the digital-native segment.

Skills

Required

  • 10+ years of professional experience
  • significant time spent as a tech co-founder, Head of Engineering, VP-level leader, or high-impact technical contributor within high-growth startups
