What you'd actually do

  2. Lead solution design for priority government use cases (e.g., citizen 360 and eligibility, program analytics, smart infrastructure, cybersecurity, fraud/waste/abuse).
  3. Design for security and compliance, ensuring architectures meet public sector expectations on data residency, access control, governance, and auditability.
  4. Turn pilots into platforms, linking Databricks to visible mission outcomes and using those wins to drive expansion across bureaus, departments, and levels of government.
  5. Influence the ecosystem, collaborating with SIs, cloud providers, and public sector partners to deliver integrated, production‑grade solutions on Databricks.

Skills

Required

  • 10+ years in data platforms, analytics, or cloud architecture
  • Significant experience with public sector organizations in Japan
  • Ability to build trust with senior government stakeholders
  • Lead high-stakes technical discussions in Japanese
  • Strong technical background in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing/Analytics, AI/ML, or Cloud Architecture
  • Experience architecting data and analytics solutions for public sector use cases
  • Deep familiarity with Japan public sector decision-making and delivery models
  • Excellent communication skills
