This role is for a Lead Specialist in Customer Deal Desk at Oracle's Global Shared Services Center. The primary responsibilities include end-to-end contract administration, drafting, reviewing, and managing contractual documents. The role requires German language expertise, strong contract management experience, attention to detail, and collaboration with various internal stakeholders. A key responsibility involves supporting continuous improvement by identifying process gaps, recommending enhancements, and using practical AI prompt knowledge to improve automation and workflow efficiency. What you'd actually do

  1. Draft, review, and modify a range of agreements, including vendor contracts, client agreements, sales contracts, and non-disclosure agreements, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
  2. Manage the full contract lifecycle from initial request, authoring, review, approvals, execution, performance monitoring, renewal, amendment, or termination.
  3. Ensure strict adherence to internal contract management policies, procedures, and applicable legal, financial, and operational compliance requirements.
  4. Identify potential contractual, legal, financial, or operational risks and work with relevant stakeholders to mitigate them effectively.
  5. Act as the primary liaison between Sales and internal teams, including Legal, Accounts Receivable, Reporting, Collections, Process Owners, Business Practices, and approvers.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, Commerce, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in contract management, contract administration, negotiation support, deal desk operations, or a related field.
  • German language expertise, with the ability to read, interpret, and communicate effectively in German in a business or contract management context.
  • Strong understanding of contract law principles, commercial terms, legal terminology, and contract lifecycle processes.
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and modifying commercial agreements such as sales contracts, vendor agreements, client agreements, and NDAs.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors, inconsistencies, missing clauses, ambiguous terms, and compliance gaps in complex contractual documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Sales, Legal, Finance, Collections, Reporting, Business Practices, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple contracts, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced, quarter-end driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification such as Certified Commercial Contracts Manager or equivalent contract management certification.
  • Experience working in a Global Shared Services Center, Customer Deal Desk, Sales Operations, or multinational business environment.
  • Familiarity with contract management systems, Q system documentation practices, workflow tools, or enterprise business systems.
  • Practical knowledge of AI prompts and their use in automation, contract workflow improvement, reporting, and informed decision-making.
  • Experience supporting process optimization, service quality improvement, and operational efficiency initiatives.
