Lead System Modeling Architect

AMD AMD · Semiconductors · San Jose, CA · Engineering

Lead System Modeling Architect for AMD's Virtual Bring-Up (VBU) team, focusing on high-performance software functional simulation platforms for firmware, driver, and application development across AMD products. This senior role involves strategic technical leadership, roadmap ownership, and cross-functional alignment for scalable simulation systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Drive strategic direction for software functional simulation platforms while remaining hands‑on and capable of contributing directly to technical solutions.
  2. Own and maintain a long‑term technology roadmap for fast platform simulation, balancing model fidelity, performance, scalability, and usability.
  3. Own the technology strategy and execution plan for scaling high‑speed functional simulation to support very large rack‑level and cluster‑level systems.
  4. Represent VBU simulation solutions in technical customer engagements, architecture reviews, and planning discussions, acting as a trusted technical authority.
  5. Ensure interoperability across simulation, hardware emulation, and hybrid configurations, enabling seamless workflows across multiple environments.
