Lead Technical Program Manager, Trust & Safety

Scale AI Scale AI · Data AI · San Francisco, CA · Gen AI Operations

Lead Technical Program Manager focused on Trust & Safety within GenAI Ops, specializing in fraud analytics and data-driven strategy to protect the AI training ecosystem. The role involves investigating fraud patterns, translating insights into detection logic and policies, establishing KPIs and evaluation frameworks, and implementing technical solutions from data prototype to production. It emphasizes using AI coding tools for SQL queries and data automation, and balancing fraud detection with marketplace growth.

What you'd actually do

  1. Analyze large, messy behavioral events to identify ambiguous and constantly evolving fraud patterns across the contributor lifecycle.
  2. Translate your analytical findings into actionable detection logic. You will redesign rules, optimize thresholds, and decision flows to catch bad actors while minimizing friction for high-quality contributors.
  3. Establish robust KPIs, build tracking dashboards, and define offline evaluation frameworks (e.g., false positive monitoring, precision/recall analysis) to continuously measure the health of our risk strategy.
  4. Act as the connective tissue between data, operations, and engineering. You will use your analytical findings to implement technical execution, taking new detection capabilities from data prototype to production deployment.
  5. Leverage AI-assisted IDEs daily to rapidly write complex SQL queries, automate data pulls, and streamline your analytical workflows.
