Leadership and Professional Development Specialist

Jump Trading Jump Trading · Quant · Shanghai, Hong Kong +1 · Operations

Jump Trading is seeking a Leadership and Professional Development Specialist for the APAC region to partner with the global L&D team to execute the company's learning and development strategy. This role will deliver technical training and leadership development programs, build expert networks, run pilot programs, measure ROI, and collaborate cross-organizationally to create innovative training solutions. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in L&D or related fields, experience in financial services or high-performance technology environments, and strong interpersonal and influencing skills.

What you'd actually do

  1. Be responsible for partnering with the global L&D team to design, drive, and execute Jump’s learning and development strategy and framework - focusing on established employees, new experienced hires, emerging managers, and senior executives.
  2. Critically assess and evaluate learning opportunities to meet local business needs, cultural norms, and cross-cultural collaboration.
  3. In conjunction with global efforts, build and implement a comprehensive range of technical and leadership development training across APAC. Technical training may include exciting and novel learning opportunities centered around math and statistics, technology and engineering, or general interest topics; leadership development may encompass manager effectiveness, communication and project management skills, and interviewer training.
  4. Cultivate and maintain a network of both internal and external experts to deliver learning programs. This may include outside coaches and trainers, assessment specialists, or partnerships with select academic faculty.
  5. Foster an experimental approach to executing the learning strategy, running pilot programs with select groups to explore proof-of-concept, then exporting successful offerings to other groups within the firm that may benefit from them.
