This role is for a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt focused on process improvement within Caterpillar's Drivetrain division. The individual will manage multiple projects, lead cross-functional teams, identify root causes, and implement solutions to improve manufacturing processes and customer experience. The role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage approximately 10-12 CPI projects across various stages of implementation, lead regular cross functional team meetings or workshops to define the problem, create a project plan, implement immediate customer containment actions, identify & investigate issue root causes, facilitate solution(s) creation, validation, and implementation.
  2. Work throughout the value streams to ensure solutions are implemented worldwide optimally, regularly creating/updating publications & systems for communication to worldwide dealers, regularly summarizing reporting to leaders/clients/dealers on project status and escalating appropriately when roadblocks are encountered.
  3. Mentor other project leaders & lead division wide product / process improvement projects.
