Lean Practitioner Manager (process Improvement)

Manager for Lean Practitioner role focused on process improvement, continuous improvement tools, and Lean Manufacturing within Boeing's manufacturing and production systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage employees performing Program improvement and problem-solving strategies for production system, supplier system, and so forth.
  2. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  3. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  4. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  5. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of experience using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools in the workplace
  • 5+ years of experience working in cross-functional teams
  • 5+ years of experience in a role which required strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • 5+ years of experience using strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course 'Exploring Leadership'

Nice to have

  • Bachelor degree in engineering discipline
  • 5+ years in related work experience
  • Experience driving business transformation and/or lean adoption in a manufacturing
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification
  • 5+ years of experience implementing lean principles
  • 5+ years of experience teaching Lean+ tools and concepts
  • 5+ years of experience working with the Boeing Problem Solving Model
