Lean Practitioner (process Improvement)

This role focuses on implementing and driving production system standards, business process improvements, and best practices using Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies. The practitioner will lead cross-functional teams, train others in Lean tools, and support the development and deployment of new process improvement tools within Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

What you'd actually do

  1. Guiding the practical application and integration of Boeing Production System (BPS) implementation across Boeing Commercial Airplanes
  2. Working with all levels of the organization to identify risks, assist and develop integrated deployment strategies that improve the production system, and assist with the implementation of these targets
  3. Promoting a continuous improvement and problem-solving culture
  4. Leading and facilitating complex and highly visible process improvement efforts
  5. Instructing and coaching others in continuous improvement principles and tools, including facilitation of Accelerated Improvement Workshops, Value Stream Mapping, 3P, or Autonomous Maintenance Workshop

Skills

Required

  • LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools
  • Teaching Lean+ tools and concepts
  • Leading a cross-functional team
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Company policies/procedures for safety EHS OSHA

Nice to have

  • Aerospace, Fabrication, or manufacturing environment experience
  • Problem solving, Kaizen workshops, 3p, Value Steam mapping, Process mapping, 5s experience
  • Coaching and facilitating training experience
  • Travel domestically, potential international travel

What the JD emphasized

  • 3+ years of experience in using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools in the workplace
  • 3+ years of experience teaching Lean+ tools and concepts
  • 3+ years of experience leading a cross-functional team
