This role focuses on designing, developing, and facilitating learning experiences for employees at Roblox, supporting onboarding, career development, and scaled learning initiatives. It requires strong instructional design fundamentals and the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging, and practical learning materials and sessions.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design curricula and learning materials that support onboarding, professional skills development, and role-specific capability building.
  2. Translate complex subject matter into clear, structured instructional experiences, program outlines, and learning objectives.
  3. Create high-quality learning assets including facilitator guides, presentation materials, participant workbooks, and digital modules.
  4. Structure interactive activities such as discussions, simulations, and case-based learning to ensure practical knowledge application.
  5. Partner with subject matter experts to shape specialized organizational knowledge into well-organized and effective learning structures.

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in instructional design, learning and development, training, facilitation, or a related professional field.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, Educational Technology, Organizational Psychology, Adult Learning, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience developing learning materials, with a portfolio showing your ability to translate complex topics into clear content.
  • Comfort facilitating interactive sessions, including leading group discussions and guiding learners through practice activities.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners and subject matter experts.
  • The ability to be flexible and quickly adapt in a fast-paced environment where learning needs and organizational priorities evolve.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Learning Sciences, Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
  • A passion for Roblox and our community, including an interest in creator ecosystems and interactive digital experiences.
  • Familiarity with Roblox or curiosity about how creator-driven platforms enable communities to build, share, and collaborate.
  • Familiarity with instructional frameworks such as ADDIE, SAM, or similar systematic approaches to content creation.
  • Experience with digital tools, including e-learning development software (Articulate, Captivate, etc.) and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Experience in tech environments, specifically designing or facilitating for corporate or technology-focused audiences.
