Legal Engineer, Chicago

Harvey Harvey · AI Frontier · Chicago, IL · Go to Market

This role is for a Legal Engineer who acts as a bridge between customers, sales, and product development for an AI-powered legal services platform. The role involves understanding customer workflows, translating feedback into product direction, and building demonstrations and use cases. While the company uses AI extensively and the role is customer-facing for an AI product, the core craft is not AI/ML development but rather applying legal expertise to an AI product.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work directly with lawyers at current and prospective customers to uncover workflow pain points, recommend solutions, and show how Harvey fits into real legal work.
  2. Serve as the voice of the customer, translating feedback and legal workflow insights into concrete, lawyer-ready product direction.
  3. Partner closely with product, engineering, sales, and marketing to shape Harvey’s roadmap and ensure the product evolves in ways lawyers trust and adopt.
  4. Build and refine product demonstrations, workflows, and use cases that reflect how legal teams actually work, including how AI is changing that work.
  5. Introduce new capabilities in a way that’s tailored, credible, and compelling for each customer, continuously raising the bar for how Harvey is deployed.
