Legal Engineer, Dallas

Harvey Harvey · AI Frontier · Dallas, TX · Go to Market

This role is for a Legal Engineer at Harvey, a company that uses AI to transform legal and professional services. The Legal Engineer will work directly with lawyers to understand their workflow pain points, recommend solutions, and translate feedback into product direction. They will partner with product, engineering, sales, and marketing to shape the product roadmap and build tailored demonstrations and use cases. The role requires a JD or equivalent legal qualification and at least 3 years of legal practice experience. While the role involves understanding and shaping AI-powered legal solutions, the core function is product-focused, acting as a bridge between customers and the product/engineering teams, rather than directly building or researching AI models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work directly with lawyers at current and prospective customers to uncover workflow pain points, recommend solutions, and show how Harvey fits into real legal work.
  2. Serve as the voice of the customer, translating feedback and legal workflow insights into concrete, lawyer-ready product direction.
  3. Partner closely with product, engineering, sales, and marketing to shape Harvey’s roadmap and ensure the product evolves in ways lawyers trust and adopt.
  4. Build and refine product demonstrations, workflows, and use cases that reflect how legal teams actually work, including how AI is changing that work.
  5. Introduce new capabilities in a way that’s tailored, credible, and compelling for each customer, continuously raising the bar for how Harvey is deployed.
