Lending Product Controller - Associate

This role is for a Lending Product Controller Associate at JPMorgan Chase, focusing on driving financial excellence and strategic innovation within the Commercial and Investment Banking (CIB) Lending Product Controllers team. The candidate will leverage technology and AI adoption to transform the Controller organization, improve processes, and ensure financial integrity. Responsibilities include ensuring balance sheet and income statement integrity, providing financial analysis, partnering with the Lending business, driving efficiencies through automation and data analysis tools (Alteryx, LLM, Tableau), producing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA or equivalent, experience with automation and data analysis tools, large datasets, and previous controller/auditor experience are required. Banking or financial services experience and knowledge of lending products are preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Ensure integrity of the balance sheet and income statement for the business
  2. Provide insightful analysis and commentary on the financials to the Global Banking Finance and Business Management organization as well as senior management
  3. Partner with the Lending business to provide business advisory and accounting support
  4. Continuously drive improvement and efficiencies in what we do leveraging automation and data analysis tools such as Alteryx, large language models (LLM), and Tableau
  5. Produce ad hoc reporting and recurring deliverables to meet team and stakeholder needs

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA or equivalent professional credential; or working towards
  • Demonstrated experience in leveraging automation and data analysis tools improve processes, reporting, and controls
  • Experience working with large data sets
  • At least 2 years of previous experience as a Controller or auditor at a large public accounting firm
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, including a strong control focus
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships
  • Schedule flexibility to meet deadlines and work flexible hours as required, including working certain weekends during quarter-end close
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
