This role supports proposal development, cost estimating, and pricing analysis for defense contracts, ensuring compliance with RFP specifications and regulatory requirements. It involves compiling cost, schedule, and technical elements, researching historical data, developing cost models, and participating in fact-finding and pricing reviews. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a business-related field and experience in proposal or material estimating, with a Secret clearance required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Compiles cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications.
  2. Works in a team environment to develop proposals in response to customer requests.
  3. Researches and analyzes historical data, develops cost models to support proposal efforts.
  4. Coordinates activities and participates in fact-finding meetings.
  5. Participates in should-cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives.

Skills

Required

  • Ability to perform and apply cost accounting, pricing and estimating concepts and principles
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance.
  • US Citizenship

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or Supply chain
  • Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations
  • Aerospace/Defense industry experience
  • Knowledge of Cost Accounting
  • Experience with SAP/S4
  • Experience with program cost analysis in an engineering and manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of government contract environment (FAR and DFARS)
  • Working knowledge of cost accounting standards, generally accepted accounting principles and accounting/proposal auditing techniques
  • Experience with ProPricer
