Liaison/material Review Board Engineer

This role is for a Liaison/Material Review Board (MRB) Engineer at Northrop Grumman, focusing on the disposition of discrepant supplier tags and designing repairs for composite parts and assemblies. The engineer will interface with suppliers and internal stakeholder groups, requiring strong communication skills. Experience with MES and MRB EN signatures is a plus. The role requires a STEM degree and experience in composite airframe structures, manufacturing, and repair processes, with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. assist with the disposition of withhold supplier tags
  2. designing repairs for discrepant detail parts and assemblies fabricated from composite materials
  3. interfacing with multiple suppliers
  4. dispositioning of discrepant material tags
  5. interfacing with stakeholder groups such as Structural Analysis, Materials & Processing and Manufacturing personnel in the design center and build facilities

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM
  • experience in composite airframe structures
  • Hands on experience in a composites manufacturing facility
  • Experience with military specs and standards
  • Experience with repair processes for composite materials used in aerospace structures
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance

  • Manufacturing Execution System, MES
