Life Actuary Consulting Manager

This role is for a Life Actuary Consulting Manager at Deloitte, focusing on transforming work and workforce dynamics within the Human Capital practice. The manager will lead teams in modernizing core business functions for life insurance clients, leveraging actuarial, analytical, and data sciences perspectives. Responsibilities include staying current with market trends, redesigning operations, deploying modern tools and analytics, and supporting sales processes. The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 6+ years of Life Actuary experience, and passing 5 actuarial exams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Proactively follow current market trends across life insurance and annuity products, markets and regulations; anticipate future client needs and prepare accordingly
  2. Redesign and modernize core business functions for life insurance clients, including new business and underwriting operations, product development, financial reporting, modeling, and related functions
  3. Support deployment of modern-day tools, technologies, data sources, & analytics in such modernization initiatives, to achieve objectives such as improved stakeholder experience, reduced costs, and more actionable or insightful results
  4. Participate in teams to identify, design, and deploy proprietary models, algorithms, data sets, or other assets or project accelerators
  5. Provide support in developing internal and external eminence, research, and solution development

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6+ years of Life Actuary experience
  • Successfully passed 5 actuarial exams
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
