Lifecycle Marketer

This role is for a Lifecycle Marketer at an applied AI lab building end-to-end software agents. The marketer will build the company's lifecycle marketing from scratch, focusing on email and engagement programs to drive product usage and retention for both self-serve and enterprise customers. Responsibilities include setting up email programs, writing content, building onboarding flows, owning activation and retention metrics, driving self-serve conversion, and leveraging AI for personalized flows. The ideal candidate is a builder, strong writer, data-obsessed, AI-native, and product-minded.

What you'd actually do

  1. Stand up our entire email program: select and implement tooling, build templates, set up deliverability infrastructure, and create the foundational sequences (onboarding, activation, re-engagement, upgrade, churn prevention).
  2. Write a ton of content. Emails, in-platform messages, landing pages, and more. The volume is high and the bar is higher; our users are high taste developers who are allergic to being marketed to.
  3. Build customized onboarding flows that help get people to their first "aha" moment with Devin
  4. Own activation and retention metrics. Figure out where users drop off, design experiments to fix it, and measure whether they worked.
  5. Drive self-serve conversion: nurture free users toward paid plans and individual users toward team plans.
