This role is for a Litigation Paralegal at The Walt Disney World Litigation Department. The paralegal will manage various litigation-related tasks, including coordinating responses to legal processes, managing correspondence, supporting case evaluation, document retention, discovery, and trial preparation. The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Coordinate company response to third-party subpoenas.
  2. Facilitate company responses to court-ordered legal processes such as UCC liens and employee wage garnishments
  3. Coordinate company responses to consumer and government agency correspondence.
  4. Review and respond to consumer letters regarding intellectual property.
  5. May support in evaluating new lawsuits, supervising document retention, and coordinating case assignments.

Skills

Required

  • 1 – 3 years’ experience in a law firm or in-house legal department
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to perform efficiently in fast paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively interact with various levels of the corporation.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate case calendars and meet deadlines.
