Logistics Asset Specialist

Crusoe · Data AI · Denver, CO - US · Procurement and Sourcing

This role is for a Logistics Asset Specialist at an AI infrastructure company. The primary focus is on managing the lifecycle of hardware and software assets, including tracking inventory, licenses, and support contracts for data center deployments. Responsibilities include recording asset movements, maintaining visibility of assets in transit and deployed, inventory reconciliation, and reporting. The role requires experience in IT Asset Management, familiarity with data center hardware, and proficiency in ITAM/ERP systems. While the company is AI-focused, this specific role is operational and does not involve direct AI/ML development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Record all inbound and outbound asset movements, capturing origin, destination, carrier, and expected and actual delivery dates
  2. Confirm pickup and delivery milestones with vendors and logistics partners, updating system records in real time as status changes occur
  3. Track each asset through its full movement lifecycle — from initial procurement receipt through site delivery and installation handoff — ensuring no gaps in the chain of custody record
  4. Assist with coordination of cycle counts and physical inventory audits, comparing on-hand quantities and locations against system-of-record data
  5. Prepare routine shipment status reports and asset movement summaries for the stakeholders
