**About E&ES: **
Caterpillar’s Electrification & Energy Solutions (E&ES) Division will focus on delivering advanced electrified power train, zero-emissions products/technologies, and the solutions and services associated with these technologies. Focus areas include batteries, fuel cells, motors, inverters, micro grid controllers, charging, energy storage systems, lifecycle solutions/services and integration of components for ePowertrain solutions across industries.

Job Summary:
The Logistics Engineer is responsible for supporting the design and implementation of all related logistics processes, machinery & equipment, storage concepts and parts shipments. They will coordinate and provide continuous improvement for lithium-ion battery shipments, as well as battery powered machinery and parts in support of E+ES.
What You Will Do:
- Order packaging and transportation solutions for new product introductions, battery shipments, and work on other supply chain improvements related to transportation and packaging.
- Communicate with existing facilities on transportation issues related to receiving, warehousing, and/or line side delivery.
- Handle battery recycling activities
Key duties can include:
- Creating/updating transportation systems to ship batteries and non-hazardous equipment
- Order packaging via purchase orders
- Maintain packaging inventory levels
- Utilize and navigate Mach 1
- Generate process improvement ideas
- Utilize NextGen/Guided Buy/Coupa
- Shipment tracking and data entry
- Freight charge analysis
What You Will Have:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required

- **Service Excellence: **Basic understanding and knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.
What Will Set You Apart:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering
- Experience with TOCs, SAP, MACH1, and / or Coupa
- Experience as a buyer, working within operations or with inventory management
Additional Information:
- This role is in Morton, IL and requires 5-day a week on-site availability

Summary Pay Range:
$89,210.00 - $133,810.00
