Logistics Engineer for Caterpillar's Electric Power Division, responsible for implementing and improving logistics processes to maximize efficiency and productivity. This includes collaborating with engineering and manufacturing, analyzing workflows, optimizing material flow and capacity, managing packaging programs, and documenting facility layouts.

What you'd actually do

  1. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to define critical parameters and develop, implement, and sustain logistics process controls and continuous improvement plans.
  2. Establish, maintain, and enforce internal logistics process engineering standards, tools, and best practices across existing and new operations.
  3. Analyze logistics workflows and material flow processes, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve process inefficiencies and constraints.
  4. Lead material flow and consolidation planning, including ongoing execution to optimize space utilization, capacity, and transportation efficiency.
  5. Define and execute short‑ and long‑term strategies to address capacity constraints, such as load consolidation, off‑site inventory management, and establishment of ASRS inventory min/max levels.
